NJORD'S COUNCIL

While most of the gods are hardly selective, this trend stops hard and fast at Njord. He seeks to gather the handful of Wanderers whose minds, hearts, and experiences will best provide the balanced insight needed to advise on many of Asgard's crucial issues.
The council will be assembled (or consulted remotely) to weigh in on a variety of issues, from domestic to overarching policy to how the city should respond to one issue or another. Between meetings, the council is expected to keep an eye out for topics in need of the council's attention, which should be brought to the next assembly.
Individuals who wish to be a member of Njord's council must allow him to skim the surface of their minds and glean insight on their nature. Those not willing are, unfortunately, not needed on the council.

- Both Njord's council and the city it seeks to better are yet small, and as such, the council meets consistently but infrequently. Questions are posed for the council's discussion within the Council Discussion top-level, with the discussion directly influencing Njord's valued input within the gods' own discussions. In narrative context, these discussions typically take place within Njord's temple, over hot or cold beverages of the council's individual choice.
Councillors also bear a more proactive responsibility - they're expected to keep a sharp eye on the goings-ons within and (what little we know) outside of Asgard, and to bring to Njord (via the Council Discussion top-level) any identifiable topics of concern, areas in need of improvement, or even just novel concepts that might benefit Asgard as a whole. The council's entire duty is to think and speak on behalf of the best version of Asgard's future.
